The Eighth Annual Fred Smith Family Company Group Charity Challenge, held April 25 – 26, 2008, raised over $50,000 in donations and contributions in support of the efforts four important causes. The Charity Challenge is held each year in the Riverwood Golf & Athletic Club community of Clayton and raises money for the Johnston County Artists-in-the-Schools, an arts education program that benefits every public school in Johnston County, Habitat for Humanity of Johnston County, Chapter 44 Disabled American Veterans and Riverwood Elementary and Middle Schools.
